Biography
Simeon practices in all areas of housing law, including defending possession proceedings (rent arrears, succession and allegations of anti social behaviour), homelessness including reviews, appeals and Judicial Review proceedings. Simeon also specialises in community care cases where there is an overlap with housing such as homeless families where the local authority’s duty has ceased and accommodation is being provided by social services.
Simeon is known for his holistic and calm approach, and his ability to deal with clients in a thoughtful and sensitive manner in what can be very difficult and stressful time.
Simeon is currently participating in the University of Law’s Mentoring Scheme. The aim of the scheme is to give the next generation of lawyers, particularly those from an underprivileged background, practical advice on entering the legal profession.
Before joining GT Stewart, Simeon volunteered at Southwark and South West London Law Centres, then in the housing department at a busy inner city legal aid law firm.
