Naomi qualified as a solicitor in January 2004. She joined GT Stewart in April 2014. Naomi is a member of the Law Society Children Law Panel. She is also a member of Resolution where she receives regular updates on Family Law and adheres to their codes of conduct. Naomi is an experienced Family Lawyer dealing with most aspects of family and children law procedures. Naomi specialises in private law for example, child arrangements (spend time or live with), prohibited steps, specific issue, special guardianship, child abduction, female genital mutilation, adoption, divorce, financial disputes, domestic violence, injunctions and public law children applications care proceedings, discharge of care orders, supervision orders. Naomi has extensive experience in advising and representing clients within care proceedings and is dedicated to her clients. She is a confident advocate and represents clients at contested hearings including the cross examination of expert witnesses. Naomi has handled complex care cases involving, sexual abuse and chronic neglect. Naomi is passionate about her work particularly as she is a mother and she seeks to ensure that the right decisions are made for vulnerable children.
Given the difficulties for client’s to obtain legal advise post LASPO, Naomi continues to undertake outreach work providing free Legal Advice to organisations such as Women’s Aid and to parents/carer’s/relatives at a Children’s centre in Northfleet on a monthly / 6 weekly basis.
Naomi represented the first client parent to be awarded a substantial amount of money in damages in respect of the local authority’s misuse of section 20 of the Children Act 1989 Medway Council v M &T 2015 ( http://www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWFC/OJ/2015/B164.html)
Naomi was nominated and shortlisted for the 2016 LALY Awards.

Interests
Naomi belongs to the Association of International Charities (local branch) linked with St Vincent De Paul and the Daughters of Charity. The association undertakes fund raising events for the local community for a number of causes including an annual tea party for the elderly in her local community and attending ISIS Youth Offending Institute (YOI) on a weekly basis to worship with the young inmates. Naomi is also a trustee for Greenwich Housing Rights (GHR).
Naomi is an enthusiastic cook, bakes the best lemon drizzle cakes ever, enjoys reading, listening to music (all genres) and dancing.
