Biography

Lara is a solicitor and police station accredited representative in the crime department of our City of London office.

Lara litigates cases in both the Magistrates’ Court and Crown Courts, represents clients in police station interviews, and conducts advocacy in the Magistrates’ Court.

Lara has a keen interest in representing suspects and defendants with mental health conditions, and has had particular success in making representations to the prosecution that it is not in the public interest to pursue cases against the most vulnerable in society.

Before qualifying as a solicitor in October 2021, Lara worked as a paralegal and completed her training contract at GT Stewart Solicitors, gaining experience in criminal defence, prison law and appeals to the Court of Appeal.
