We are recruiting for two solicitors to join our Community Care and Court of Protection team based in London.
The successful candidate will be experienced in Community Care cases and Court of Protection cases concerning health and welfare.
They will be able to advise clients regarding judicial review cases challenging decisions under the Care Act 2014 and Children Act 1989 as well as representing relatives and protected parties in Court of Protection proceedings (including challenges to Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS) authorisations.)
It is advantageous if the candidate has experience in preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney and applications for deputyship.
Completion of the Law Society Mental Capacity (Welfare) Accreditation or a desire to do so is advantageous.
The successful candidate will also be experienced in working within legal aid funding and knowledgeable regarding the legal aid provision under the community care contract.
This position is permanent and on a full time basis with an immediate start.
