Leigh, a solicitor-advocate, is a member of both the the crime and extradition departments. He practises criminal law advocacy at the Police Station, Magistrates’ Court, Crown Court, Court of Appeal and High Court, and litigates serious criminal and public law cases. Leigh’s practice involves privately and public funded cases, and is instructed by individuals, businesses and insurance companies.
His particular specialities are business crime (including fraud and health & safety) and cases involving computers and technology.
Leigh is the Law Reform Officer of the London Criminal Courts Solicitors’ Association and contributes to consultations on proposed legislation. He is a member of the Sentencing Council’s Solicitors’ Panel. He previously represented a number of witnesses interviewed by the Iraq Historic Allegations Team and his training focussed on civil litigation at Nabarro.
