Client acquitted of false imprisonment

Tags: , ,

GT Stewart represented M, charged with a domestic related False Imprisonment, Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm and Criminal Damage. If convicted M faced the potential of being sent to prison particularly as the complainant continued to make further serious allegations against him.

M was represented by Philip Mahoney, Solicitor-Advocate, who advised him to maintain his not guilty pleas and his case was listed for trial at Leeds Crown Court. M was absolute in his instructions that the allegations were totally false and in due course the Crown offered no evidence and a Not Guilty Verdict was recorded.
